Generally, an EMG procedure follows this process: A nerve conduction study may be performed on an outpatient basis or as part of your stay in a hospital. EMG measures the electrical activity of the muscle during rest, slight contraction and forceful contraction. Or you can wear an elbow brace backward on the elbow joint. MRI scans are the preferred diagnostic method for cervical myelopathy, but other methods can also be used to help rule out other conditions. The doctor stuck needles in both legs & both arms,but I felt the greatest amount of pain in my left leg & right arm while testing,I yelled & banged on the wall until she took the needles out of both areas. Please explain how this can be? MS is a central nerve disorder/disease. EMG tests for peripheral nerve disfuntion. I'm feeling ckickenish too but, am going to make it happen.
